Teen Support

$150 per hour

Being a teenager can be tough. There are topics like family, relationships, self-identity exploration, or emotions that you may need some extra understanding about. Maybe parents say one thing but as a teen you feel otherwise. Sometimes you may want to vent or explore new ideas with someone besides family. Often times it can be beneficial for teens to talk about topics with a trusted adult outside of their family unit. Once you feel comfortable, we will work together on how to approach your concern. Learning about a topic can spark change and growth. Through psychoeducation and collaboration teens will learn more about whatever their concerns might be.

Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT)

8-week course $1,000

CPRT is an evidence-based approach where parents learn to take a glimpse into their child’s play world. Play is our first way of communicating and also provides data that when interpreted gives insights to emotions, struggles, dysregulation, what’s helpful for kids, and what’s not helpful. This modality is commonly used with those trained in Child-Centered Play Therapy. CPRT offers a new way of being with your child in their world while playing. In this 8-week course parents learn how to be present physically and emotionally during special play times, how to reflect and validate emotions they see in their child, how to set limits while still being in the moment, and provide choices when moments become tricky. The skills learned in CPRT are applicable to everyday encounters that aren’t play related. It becomes a natural way of communicating. CPRT is an 8 sessions course tailored to the family’s needs.
